Meeting #4: Tuesday, March 17
Read the entries for January-February, pages 73-115.
I love how Esma created such a sense of suspense in her classroom with her refrigerator time machine. I’m sure if she had just made it all at home and just brought in to her classroom one day it would not have had near the impact in her classroom. Students love when there is a build up of excitement leading towards an activity or unit. Since she had done such a great job getting the kids interested in this time machine she had them engaged even before the first lesson started. (We gotta stop having these meetings on Tuesdays, Ive got tutoring :)
